Outreach Facilitator
Are you able to hold space to support people in grief? Hospice Yukon is looking for someone to facilitate connections with communities, organizations and government departments experiencing death and loss. If you’re interested in supporting people in grief and advancing grief literacy in the Yukon, please reach out with your compassion and skills.
This position coordinates and delivers grief education services, promoting community awareness and acting as an educational resource for Yukon communities.
Hospice Yukon Society offers a supportive caring environment for a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Wage range is $26.95 – 34.06/hr plus benefit package. There are 25 part-time hours per week.
This is a one-year term position with possibility of extension. It requires cross-cultural experience and travel to rural Yukon. Candidates must have reliable personal vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed).
Candidates must be legally able to work in Canada and meet the qualifications which include:
- Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent work or volunteer experience
- Proven experience in public speaking / presenting and engaging groups
- Experience instructing, developing and coordinating courses and workshops
- Excellent interpersonal skills
