Healing Touch

Healing Touch is a relaxing energy therapy that supports physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health, using gentle touch to clear and balance your energy system. It is complementary to standard medical care.

Healing Touch sessions are offered while the client lies fully clothed on a massage table, a bed, or seated in a chair. Hospice staff and volunteers trained in Healing Touch place their hands gently on, or a few inches above the client’s body. Sessions can take place at Hospice Yukon, Whitehorse General Hospital, Wind River Hospice House, Continuing Care Facilities, or at home. Each session can last from 15 minutes to an hour.

To make an appointment, get in touch by phone (867-667-7429) or email info@hospiceyukon.net

Hospice Yukon Healing Touch is for:

Those who are grieving

When we are grieving the death of a loved one we may experience a sense of anxiety, fogginess, numbness or pain in our physical bodies. Healing touch can help us feel relaxed, grounded and better able to cope during this difficult time.

Those who are dying and their caregivers

Healing Touch helps reduce pain and anxiety. It focuses on improving quality of life and offering comforting care to a person drawing to the close of their life. It also supports caregivers to remain grounded and balanced while they are supporting others.

Healing Touch was founded in 1989 by Janet Mentgen, R.N., and is an internationally recognized therapy used in hospitals, hospices and health care facilities around the world.
