Support for Yukon Communities

Hospice Yukon understands the need for greater grief and palliative support in the Yukon communities. Unfortunately we are unable to travel outside of Whitehorse. Working within this limitation, we do our best to accommodate those seeking our support.

We encourage you to make an appointment with our counsellor if you are able to be in Whitehorse. Often one meeting can be very helpful.

Telephone Support

Our counsellor is available for one-on-one telephone support, as well as group conference calls and video conferencing.

Our resource library, including books, CDs, DVDs and excellent short handouts, is also available to the communities. Call us and we will mail you an information packet specific to your needs

Living with Loss Educational Presentation

Hospice offers Living with Loss, a two hour educational presentation on healthy grieving, four times a year in Whitehorse. We often have people from the communities plan their trip to Whitehorse to coincide with this worthwhile talk.

We are also presenting Living with Loss to the communities via video conferencing, twice a year, in partnership with the Northern Institute of Social Justice and Yukon College.

Call the office for dates.
