It is complementary to standard medical care.<\/p>\n<p>Healing Touch sessions are offered while the client lies fully clothed on a massage table, a bed, or seated in a chair. Hospice staff and volunteers trained in Healing Touch place their hands gently on, or a few inches above the client\u2019s body. Sessions can take place at Hospice Yukon, Whitehorse General Hospital, Wind River Hospice House, Continuing Care Facilities, or at home. Healing touch can help us feel relaxed, grounded and better able to cope during this difficult time.<\/p>\n<h5>Those who are dying and their caregivers<\/h5>\n<p>Healing Touch helps reduce pain and anxiety. It focuses on improving quality of life and offering comforting care to a person drawing to the close of their life.
