AGM 2023 May 29 – Hospice Yukon

Please join us for our AGM!

Hospice Yukon Society’s Annual General Meeting for the 2022-2023 fiscal year will take place on Monday May 29th at the Whitehorse Curling Club lounge, from 7:00 to 8:00pm.

All are welcome to attend.

The meeting will include a summary of Hospice Yukon’s activities over the past year, and a brief financial review.

You can purchase or renew your $20 Hospice Yukon Society membership at the AGM, or online through our website.

Supporting Hospice Yukon through a purchase of an annual membership is a wonderful way to contribute towards our programs and services.

Membership also allows you to vote at our AGM, and will ensure you receive a printed copy of our annual newsletter.

At the AGM we will seek to pass the following special resolutions:

WHEREAS the financial statements ending March 31, 2023 show Hospice Yukon Society to be in good financial standing, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Financial Statements presented to the Hospice Yukon Society Membership on May 29, 2023 be the same Financial Statements submitted to Crowe MacKay LLP for the 2022/2023 financial review.

and

WHEREAS the financial statements ending March 31, 2023 show Hospice Yukon Society to be in good financial standing, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the requirement to perform a financial audit be waived for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024.

Board Positions for 2023-2024:
We are grateful to note that Hospice Yukon volunteer Directors Patricia McGarr, Val Pike, Alex Kmet, Heather MacFadgen, and Mary Martin are all willing to serve another two year term and will seek approval from the membership at the AGM.

Director Susan Walton will also serve another year as part of her term.

No new nominations for additional directors were received during the recruitment timeline. We appreciate all the contributions from our Board members and look forward to another good year ahead.
